There is Nothing Small about Nature
Jul 1, 2011 - Mozambique
The magazine "M de Moçambique" dedicated to Tourism, Culture, Society and Sport (with articles in Portuguese and English) published an interesting article about Gorongosa written by Mia Couto, the well known Mozambican biologist and writer.
The title of the article is "There is Nothing Small about Nature" and it starts like this:
"The search for the Five Great Mammals is the main bait that lures tourists to Africa's natural parks. The conservation areas which don't include these five species are at a clear disadvantage in terms of attraction. In actual fact such criteria unfairly dismisses far more gratifying encounters with the natural world. To tell you the truth, on this meeting with nature, size isn't everything."
