New Training in Gorongosa National Park

Employees in the Tourism and Hospitality Services Department of Gorongosa National Park received their first certificates after a training course in hospitality. This initiative was the right ending after the several training activities held during the last quarter of 2007. The objective of this training was to improve the professional performance of the Park’s tourism staff. To develop the professional skills of the employees in this area will be a priority in the coming year as we expect a consistent growth in tourism demand. Only through professional training we can expect to have excellence and quality of tourism services, therefore giving tourists the best possible customer service.

Together with the training courses, we took the opportunity to organize health awareness workshops. The cultural enhancement and the professional skills development of the Gorongosa National Park staff are priorities for the management team in order to have, not only more skilled employees, but also better informed citizens which will spread to their families and communities where they live.
