
In the presence of the Mozambican President Armando Guebuza, four ministers from his government, and various other dignitaries, today at Chitengo Camp, the “heart” of Gorongosa National Park (GNP), a ceremony was held to celebrate the 20-year Accord outlining the joint management of the Park between the Mozabican Ministry of Tourism and the Carr Foundation. The Accord, which was effective January, 2008, aims to reorganize and enliven the activity of the Park in such a way as to integrate the Park and the famous Mount Gorongosa.
