Gorongosa welcomed "The Crazy Travellers"

Jul 12, 2011 - Gorongosa National Park

After hearing much talk about the resurrection of the Gorongosa National Park, the self named "The Crazy Travelers" (Chris and Elayne Clash) on his voyage around the world could not fail to visit Gorongosa.

"Our visit to Mozambique marks the midway point along our route. We've done a good part of the countries in our schedule since we started the adventure on May 10, 2007, Australia. Being in Mozambique and in Gorongosa National Park is now as if we were at the peak of our world tour. We could not fail to set foot in this idyllic place unique in the history of restoration of biodiversity ... " Chris told us.

Chris and Elayne Clash gleefully leaving Chitengo (GNP)

The couple Chris and Elayne stepped in Chitengo, the main camp of the Gorongosa National Park (GNP) at the end of Sunday, July 10, 2011. As usual, the camping was the option they preferred having the "Victor" as the basis of his tent.

"Victor" is the name of the car built by Chris Clash after he got an engine with 27 years of life. Responding to our interview, Chris said:
"I built the" Victor "at home. It is the first car that I did. It uses bio-fuel and is very safe and comfortable for our adventure. We are confident that we will overcome the rest of the countries ahead of us in a few years and with the "Victor" in good shape. "

At Chitengo (PNG), Chris (in) and Elayne Clash (out) with the "Victor", their homemade car

"We started our trip in Australia by shipping our homemade two-wheel drive car to South Korea. Then we started driving through many countries in Asia, Europe, America, and now Africa and Mozambique, and we could not miss the opportunity to visit the Gorongosa National Park. "

Some of the workers of Gorongosa National Park joined Chris Clash with their joy
