“I have had the wonderful opportunity to travel all over the world. Gorongosa is among the most beautiful places I have seen, The park is an essential piece of the world’s natural heritage. I thank God that the people of Mozambique have risen to the challenge of defending and protecting Gorongoza for all the generations to come.”

“The reality of Gorongosa – after more than a year of hearing about it – is amazing. I feel fortunate to see this jewel of Mozambique and Africa. Soon the savanna will be teeming with game again and Gorongosa will be what it was. The people of Mozambique are generous to a fault – they have so little and share so much. Thank you Greg for your generosity of spirit and your enthusiasm for helping them realize this dream. I cannot wait to come back.”

“A web browser and a great philanthropist story brought us here. We were not disappointed. Lovely bushveld like the garden of eden. We [saw] 100 birds, lion, antelopes, and ele’s. This is a special place, run by lovely people on a special journey. Keep it up and we will be back!”

"Enjoyed the Park and the birds very much and we are pleased to see all the improvements to the camp. Our trip to find the Green Headed oriole on Gorongosa Mountain was brilliant – as were all the specials on the way. Magnificent forest. The cultivation of an ornithologists lifetime dream. The staff especially Hendrik and the Master Chef were very hospitable. We shall return."

"ENTHUSED ! My return to the park after 34 years is like being born again and witnessing the rebirth of nature. I felt that there is a STRONG TEAM, dedicated to community development and keeping all the precious natural resources. We felt that NATURE is rejuvenating. CONGRATULATIONS! This is a good example for all of us. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE ON THE TEAM."

"This is the first time I’ve come to this park, which belongs to Mozambicans most of all. I loved seeing that unlike the racism you feel in other tourist resorts like Inhassoro, Vilanculos, Tofo, and so on..., here it is really for Mozambicans. Customer treatment is the same for everybody. One of the big challenges, above others, will be to improve park access. Keep on working!"

"Really an inspiring place! So glad the Carr Foundation has decided to help this Eden become what it used to be, a sanctuary for animals, guests and an emblem of the best of Mozambique. We are glad we saw the beginning of the process, can’t wait to see it again down the road. Good Luck!"
